The foundation of K.D.I. School, A Senior secondary school & College of Advanced Education has been laid on 18the Feb. 2008 with the inspiration of Late Kavilash Devi (Mother), well known gurus/well-wishers of the Director (Mr. Rajendra Kumar) Late B.B. Ray (Professor &H.O.D. of Maths, St. Columba's college, Hazaribag), Late A. P.Sriwastwa (H.O.D. Physics, St. Columba's College), Mrs. & Mr.O.P.Ranga (Chairman of K.D. Model School, Bawana Rd., Barwala, Delhi-110039), Miss B. Tirkey (Ex- lecturer Urseline B.Ed. College, Lohardagga and at present Deputy Director of Education,Delhi), Mr. P. R. Arya (Ex-Joint director of education,Delhi) Robin Sengupta (Retd. Science Teacher, S. S. High School, Rajdhanwar), Mr. Raghubir Ray (Retd. English Teacher) and to show his gratitude towards his motherland for imparting quality education to the mass of the areas situated in Jharkhand and Bihar.
The institution is located near Adarsh College, Rajdhanwar & Ex-Rajdhanwar king's pond on Ranchi,-Dumka highway in Suriya- Rajdhanwar route and is approximately 24 kms. away from nearest rail head-Hazaribag road and 65 Kms. from Koderma on the Howrah-Delhi railway cord-line near to Rajdhanwar.

This school has a tradition to provide Rs.1800/-cheque to the students obtaining aggregate of 80% & above and Rs. 500-per subject obtaining 90% & above marks in C.B.S.E. Exams in X &XIIl classes to encourage the students.
